REGULATIONS

 

1.   Registration materials must be received by the School at 60 to 90 days prior to the beginning of  the course, internship or co-op program.

      

      Registration material include:

  1. Complete application form    

  2. deposit for the course, internship or co-op program

  3. letter stating date of arrival, departure, flight number and airport

  4. photocopy of airline ticket

  5. picture of the candidate

2.   In the event of the cancellation of the course, internship or co-op program  an official written letter of employer, University, hospital or doctor explaining the reasons why the candidate cannot attend must be sent to the school.

       In this event, the deposited money will  be refunded as follows:

-  50% if course, internship or co-op program is cancelled at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the course, internship or co-op program

-  20% if course, internship or co-op program is cancelled 15 days prior to beginning of the course, internship or co-op program

              

 In any and all other cases the money will not be refunded.  However, candidates prevented from taking part of the course, internship or co-op program will receive a credit voucher  which can be used within the next 12 months; beyond this period the course, internship or co-op program will be considered annulled. 

3.   Full payment must be received by The New Village School no later than 30 days prior to beginning of course, internship or co-op program.

4.   The lessons run from Monday through Friday;  the school is closed according to the Italian holiday calendar.

5.   Candidates who begin a course, internship or co-op program after the established date, have inconsistent attendance, or interrupt the course, internship or co-op program before its official end will not be reimbursed or receive a reduction in fees.  

6.  Airport pick up and arrival is only performed free on a week day.

7.   If a class is composed of less than 3 candidates, the course, internship or co-op program time will be accordingly adjusted.

8.   Individual lessons can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the appointment. If the cancellation has not been made in time the lessons has to be paid in full.

9.   The accommodation service is reserved for the candidates of the school and limited only for the period of the course, internship or co-op program including a day or two before the beginning of the course, internship or co-op program until the last day of the course, internship or co-op program. In order to facilitate the candidate’s arrival and departure additional days in accommodation can be allowed- in the order of  1 or 2 days.   Candidates must  arrange additional days accommodation at least 30 days before arriving in Italy.  Additional days will be provided upon availability at the additional cost of  € 20 a day. After the booking of the accommodation has been made, no reductions will be done in case of a late arrival or early departure.  

10. Candidates are requested not to invite guests in their room in any circumstance. Should a candidate have guest, accommodation can be arranged at standard seasonal rates with The New Village School depending on availability. Rules and regulations will be provided by the on campus accommodation officer. We ask that all Candidates abide by these rules at all times and show the utmost respect when dealing with assigned personnel. Candidates who do not comply to rules and regulation of provided accommodation will be asked to leave premises and will be liable for all and any damage occurred.

11. Candidates who request the registration certificate in original, signed and printed on the school's paper with letter head, and eventually the official document of the state of Italy proving the existence and the regular activity of the school, which both can be required by the Italian Embassy in order to grant a student visa, are required to pay the whole course, internship or co-op program in advance (at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the course, internship or co-op program). The school can send the documents mentioned above only after the payment has been received in full. In case the Embassy requires in addition the address of the accommodation in Italy, the candidate has to pay in whole the course, internship or co-op program + accommodation. In case a non-acceptance of the visa application the school reimburses the amount paid (less € 100 for administrative expenses) exclusively against an official document of the Italian Embassy which states that the visa has not been issued and for which reasons. 

12. Candidates who need the registration certificate in original, signed and printed on the school's paper with letter head,  the official document of the state of Italy proving the existence and regular activity of the school, which can be required by the Italian Embassy in order to grant a student visa, are required to pay in advance the total price of their course, internship or co-op program. the school can send the documents mentioned above only after the payment has been received in full.
