The new village school is an Italian Training Organization that has been operational now for more than 40 years.  Our specialties are in the high quality instruction  of corporate personnel in the areas of languages, information technology, management marketing and sales. Our clients are internationally recognized corporations, who are skilled in the art of outsourcing and use this method to fulfill their need for high quality training services. The New Village School which is nationally well known for it commitment to training,  has been used as a facilitator to corporations such as Wyeth Lederle S.p.A.  IRBM (Merk S.P.A.), IBM, Ericsson Telecommunications, RAI (Radio and TV Journalists), BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro) and many others.

Due to the above, The New Village School has developed an extensive network of International Clients over the years, and therefore, has the ability to offer a variety of Internships and Co-ops in its Italian branch. These Internships and Co-ops are designed for those students who would like to gain real and practical international work and life experience.    It is an ideal way for candidates to immerse themselves in the true Italian culture and lifestyle  while gaining vital  international awareness.  The New Village School provides the students with an intensive 1 week orientation and a 14 to 16 weeks Internship and Co-ops in many Italian locations.

 

Why the New Village School’s  Internship and Coop are different from other  programs?

     

  Unlike other programs,  we place a great emphasis on our Italian offices. We differ as we are  owned and managed by a well regarded local Italian organization who has worked extensively in training in Italy since 1970. However the Italian Offices  are supported closely by our offices in Boston. This system helps us source and maintain an extensive network of contacts both in the public, private, and academic sectors.

Our internship and coop programs not only provide international experience and cultural immersion but also give the interns real, practical, and meaningful working experience that will have a positive impact on their future careers.

The New Village School is nationally well-known for its professional and highly qualified staff. It is recognized for its high quality standards and its strong commitment to training.  It is also renowned for its  partnership with British Institutes and the Istituto Dante Alighieri.

The British Institutes is the largest school of English in Italy. It has been active for over 50 years and has more than 200 centers. Clients include major companies, public and private universities and key national and local government bodies. Its mission is  to impart and expand the knowledge of the English language at all levels: from corporate training to courses for children and adults, from post-graduate courses and training to refresher courses for public and private school teachers. British Institutes is the only certifying body with its own examination centers in major Italian cities that can issue a certificate of linguistic quality for ISO certification. It is accredited by the Ministry of Labor ex ministerial decree DM no. 166./2001 with law by decree R.L. no. 14.305/02. It is accredited as a Teaching/Certifying Body by the Ministry of Education, University and Research with ministerial decree DM of 31.03.2003 prot. 2953/C/3 in conformity with ministerial decree DM no. 177/2000.

The Istituto Dante Alighieri founded in 1923 and recognized by the Ministry of Public Education, organizes Italian Language Courses for foreigners throughout the year and in all its numerous locations. It is recognized and acclaimed in Italy and throughout the world. All of the schools have modern, well equipped classrooms. The Institute  is staffed with highly qualified and dedicated professional teachers  At the end of the course, students are examined in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Upon appropriate completion of the exam, both regular students and outside students who have paid the required fee, are offered a "Certificate of Studies".

The "Certificate of Studies" have been calibrated on the Council of Europe Levels

 

EXPECTATIONS

     Our Internship and Coop programs are intensive, challenging and demanding. 

     In a short period interns will have had to gain a great deal of knowledge and use this to survive a completely new cultural environment. Interns will have to cope with considerable demands on their time and energy, as the pace of the internship requires endurance. 

    However, the benefits acquired by training and working  in a foreign country are immense; especially Italy, which is reputed to be one of the most beautiful and vibrant countries in the world for art, culture and entertainment.
